Our self-defense program is built on real-world application, combining principles from multiple disciplines into a practical, pressure-tested approach. Training emphasizes situational awareness, decision-making under stress, and effective responses to common threats—including strikes, grappling, and weapon-based scenarios.
Designed for both beginners and experienced martial artists, this program teaches how to adapt your skills for real-life situations. Grapplers learn to account for strikes and environmental variables, while strikers develop strategies for close-range encounters, entanglements, and unpredictable conditions.
The goal is simple: build awareness, increase confidence, and develop the ability to respond effectively when it matters most. This program reflects the STOUT PGH philosophy—functional, direct, and rooted in reality.
Classes are included for all STOUT PGH members, with non-members welcome to participate for a drop-in fee.
